• Paper · 1 sheet of white
• Black paper or card · 1 sheet
• 🖍️ A white crayon or white pencil
• Craft sticks · 3
• A flashlight
• 🔪 A box cutter 👋 grown-up
• ✂️ Kid scissors
• 🩹 Tape

The big idea: Light goes in straight lines, so a puppet that blocks it throws a shadow.
