Peabody on an iPhone or iPad

iOS 27 and iPadOS 27. Checked 18 Oct 2026.

  1. Give the child their own Apple Account in your Family, and sign the device in as them, not as you.
  2. Open Settings, then Family, then the child's name.
  3. Tap Apps & Websites, then Restrictions, then Approved Websites Only. Apple calls this Ask to Browse, and it is already on for a child under 13.
  4. Under Allowed, add peabody.kids and the second host on this card.
  5. In Safari, open peabody.kids, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen.
  6. To pin a shared iPad to Peabody for one sitting, triple-click the side button for Guided Access.
  • Allow peabody.kids
  • Allow ejaphrdynzcrwnuszjno.supabase.co (and wss to it)
  • Apple doesn't say which other browser apps the setting covers, so put an App Limit on any other browser, or delete it.
  • Single App Mode needs a supervised iPad that was erased first. That's for Aaron's own tablets, not a family's.
  • When the child asks for a new site, you answer in Messages or with the Screen Time passcode, and a request expires after 24 hours.
  • The TV shelf's read-along shows play fine. Any outside video a grown-up added to the family's TV shelf can't play on a device set to approved sites only, because the card lists no video host.

Peabody on a Android phone or tablet

Android with Family Link (Samsung Kids noted below). Checked 18 Oct 2026.

  1. Give the child their own Google Account in Family Link, and sign the device in as them.
  2. In Family Link, open the child, then Controls, then Google Chrome and Web.
  3. Choose Only allow approved sites.
  4. Add peabody as a domain entry, and the second host on this card the same way.
  5. In Google Play's controls, turn on Require approval for all content, and put an app limit on any other browser on the device.
  6. Open peabody.kids in Chrome and tap Install when it offers, or choose Add to Home screen from Chrome's menu.
  7. On a Samsung tablet in Samsung Kids: open My Browser, tap the plus, and add peabody.kids there too.
  • Allow peabody.kids
  • Allow ejaphrdynzcrwnuszjno.supabase.co (and wss to it)
  • Family Link filters Chrome only. Another browser on the device walks round it, so limit or remove each one.
  • Kids Space tablets list Play apps, not sites. Peabody has no Play listing yet, so Chrome is the way in there.
  • The TV shelf's read-along shows play fine. Any outside video a grown-up added to the family's TV shelf can't play on a device set to approved sites only, because the card lists no video host.

Peabody on a Chromebook

ChromeOS with Family Link. Checked 18 Oct 2026.

  1. Add the child's Google Account to the Chromebook, and have them use only that account.
  2. In Family Link, open the child, then Controls, then Google Chrome and Web, and choose Only allow approved sites.
  3. Add peabody as a domain entry, and the second host on this card the same way.
  4. In the Chromebook's own settings, turn guest browsing off, and keep a parent access code for yourself.
  5. Open peabody.kids in Chrome and tap Install in the address bar.
  • Allow peabody.kids
  • Allow ejaphrdynzcrwnuszjno.supabase.co (and wss to it)
  • This is the one home device where the list is nearly airtight: Chrome is the only browser on it.
  • Kiosk mode needs an organisation account and costs about $25 a device a year. That's a school's path, not a home's.
  • The TV shelf's read-along shows play fine. Any outside video a grown-up added to the family's TV shelf can't play on a device set to approved sites only, because the card lists no video host.

Peabody on a Windows PC

Windows 11 with Microsoft Family Safety. Checked 18 Oct 2026.

  1. Give the child their own Microsoft account in your family group, and sign the PC in as them.
  2. In Family Safety, open the child, then Content filters.
  3. Turn on Filter inappropriate websites and searches, then Only use allowed websites.
  4. Add peabody.kids and the second host on this card.
  5. Open peabody.kids in Edge and choose Install this site as an app from Edge's menu.
  • Allow peabody.kids
  • Allow ejaphrdynzcrwnuszjno.supabase.co (and wss to it)
  • The filter works only in Edge. Family Safety then blocks other browsers for the child, which is what you want here.
  • Edge Kids Mode is gone (2023). Windows' free kiosk mode browses privately and drops the reader every session, so it's a poor fit for a kid who wants their books back.
  • The TV shelf's read-along shows play fine. Any outside video a grown-up added to the family's TV shelf can't play on a device set to approved sites only, because the card lists no video host.

Peabody on a Mac

macOS 27. Checked 18 Oct 2026.

  1. Make the child their own user account on the Mac, as a child in your Family.
  2. In System Settings, open Screen Time for the child, then Content & Privacy, then Web Content, and choose Approved Websites Only.
  3. Add peabody.kids and the second host on this card.
  4. Set an App Limit on Chrome, Firefox and any other browser in the child's account, or remove them.
  5. In Safari, open peabody.kids, then File, then Add to Dock.
  • Allow peabody.kids
  • Allow ejaphrdynzcrwnuszjno.supabase.co (and wss to it)
  • macOS has no built-in list that covers every browser. Any other browser left installed in the child's account walks round the setting.
  • The TV shelf's read-along shows play fine. Any outside video a grown-up added to the family's TV shelf can't play on a device set to approved sites only, because the card lists no video host.

Peabody on a Fire Kids tablet

Fire tablet with Amazon Kids. Checked 18 Oct 2026.

  1. Make the child their own Amazon Kids profile, and keep your own profile locked with a PIN for yourself.
  2. On your own phone or computer, open the Amazon Parent Dashboard, then the child, then Settings, then Fire Tablet Web Browser.
  3. Choose Hand-Selected Websites & Videos.
  4. Type peabody.kids to add it, and the second host on this card the same way.
  5. Turn the address bar and search off for the child.
  6. On the tablet, open peabody.kids in the child's browser. Fire tablets have no install button, so Peabody opens in the browser each time.
  • Allow peabody.kids
  • Allow ejaphrdynzcrwnuszjno.supabase.co (and wss to it)
  • Silk is the only browser on a Fire, so there's nothing to replace. Whether hand-selected sites need a Kids+ plan is stated inconsistently, so check your plan.
  • Amazon warns that a video embedded in an allowed page stays reachable even with the web turned off.
  • The TV shelf's read-along shows play fine. Any outside video a grown-up added to the family's TV shelf can't play on a device set to approved sites only, because the card lists no video host.
