What time does elementary school start?
Every school sets its own times, so the only sure answer is your school's own.
There is no single time for every school. Each school district and each school picks its own start and end times, so the answer depends on where you live.
How to find out
- Ask your teacher or look in your folder for the school's letter or newsletter.
- Check the school's website. The bell times are often on the front page or in the calendar.
- Call the school office. They can tell you the start and end times, and when the doors open.
A grown-up can help you look these up. Write the times on a sticky note and put it somewhere you will see it.
