Google's free notes app. Kids and parents jot notes and checklists, add photos, drawings and voice recordings, color-code and pin them, and set reminders; everything syncs across phone, computer and watch. Notes can be shared with a family group so everyone can edit the grocery list or chore list. It is a light tool for lists and quick reminders rather than a full planner, and it works under a child's Google Account set up by a parent.
Our take: A good free starting point for family lists and kids' reminders; pick a real planner for homework tracking.

| What its terms say about age | Children under 13 (or their country's age) cannot manage their own Google Account; a parent creates and manages it with Family Link. At 13 in most countries the child can manage their own account. (terms) |

Watch for
- Anyone in the family group can edit or delete shared notes
- Needs a Google Account, so data sits with Google
- No calendar view or homework structure
- Easy to collect clutter without folders
Data and privacy
Google's privacy notice for Family Link accounts says Google collects what a child creates and uploads, plus activity and device data, and does not show personalized ads to minors, though contextual ads can appear in Google services. Read the privacy policy.
