A filtered web browser for Android from the maker of Kids Place, a kids' home-screen launcher. Parents set which websites and categories are allowed, block adult sites, and see reports of blocked attempts; search runs through Google's safe programmable search. Kids Place locks a phone or tablet to approved apps with screen time limits. The free tier covers basic app blocking; the paid Kiddoware plan bundles the browser, web filtering and remote management.
Our take: A workable filtered browser for families with younger kids on Android tablets; iPhone families should use Apple's built-in controls.
| Ages it suits | about 4-15 |

| What its terms say about age | The Kiddoware terms say users must be older than 13, so the account belongs to the parent, who sets up the device for the child. (terms) |

What's good
- Allow-list browsing for young kids
- Reports of blocked attempts
- Still updated (Safe Browser Sep 2026)
- Free basic launcher
Watch for
- Android only for the browser
- Filters by web address, not page content, so new bad sites can slip through
- Location tracking was dropped in Nov 2025
- Ad status unclear between policy and store listing
Data and privacy
The Safe Browser privacy policy says it records filtering decisions and blocked-site attempts for parent reports, sends search terms to Google only to return results, and does not keep logs of DNS queries for its app-blocking feature. It says ads were turned off in August 2025, though the Play Store listing still says it contains ads. Read the privacy policy.
Does it work?
The maker's own claims only; Kiddoware itself says no filter blocks 100% of unwanted content.
