Makeblock Codey Rocky

Codey Rocky is a small two-part robot: Codey, a handheld controller with an LED face and sensors, rides on Rocky, a wheeled base. Out of the box kids can drive it, follow lines and detect colors. They then program it with block coding in mBlock 5 and can switch the same project to Python. A game-based Makeblock app teaches early coding ideas. It can be controlled by remote, Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.

Our take: Suits early-elementary kids who want a ready-to-go coding robot; kids who like building should look at mBot2 instead.
