The 3Doodler Start+ is a 3D printing pen for kids. It pushes out a strand of eco-filament plastic that hardens almost at once, so children can trace stencils and layer strands into 3D shapes. The maker says it has no external hot parts. It is cordless and rechargeable, with a reverse button and an easier filament hatch. A free app offers stencils, tutorials and a community for sharing creations.
Our take: A fun, safe-by-design entry to 3D making for ages 6-10; kids who want precise models will move to a 3D printer.
