A gentle life game on Nintendo Switch (and Switch 2). Kids move to an island, fish, catch bugs, dig fossils, garden, craft furniture, decorate a house and the whole island, and get to know animal neighbors. The game runs on a real-time clock, so days and seasons pass with the calendar. There is no fighting to lose. With Nintendo Switch Online, players can visit friends' islands or open their own to others.
Our take: A calm, creative pick for younger kids; keep online visits to known friends.
