Cubetto+ is a wooden robot and control board that teaches preschoolers the basics of coding without screens. Children place colored wooden blocks on the board, left to right, to plan a path, then press the blue button and watch Cubetto roll across a story map. Function and random blocks add more complex ideas. Adventure maps and storybooks extend play. It works fully offline and is designed for ages 3 to 6.

Our take: A strong choice for parents of 3- to 6-year-olds who want coding play with no screens and no data; older kids will want something more open.
