By Duck Duck Moose, LLC (part of Khan Academy). Visit Duck Duck Moose apps

Desk research from the maker's own pages. Not yet tried by us. Checked 2026-10-24.

A family of about 20 small, single-purpose apps for toddlers and early elementary kids, from a studio that is now a subsidiary of the nonprofit Khan Academy. Titles include Moose Math (counting, adding, sorting), Duck Duck Moose Reading (phonics), Pet Bingo, Build A Truck, ChatterPix Kids (make photos talk) and sing-along nursery-song apps. The apps are free. Many have not had big updates in years; Moose Math was last updated in 2023.

Our take: Fine free picks for toddlers and preschoolers, but families wanting a maintained, all-in-one app may prefer Khan Academy Kids.
