Eureka Math² (Eureka Math Squared) is a full PreK-Algebra I math curriculum from Great Minds, the group behind EngageNY and the original Eureka Math. Lessons build ideas step by step with the same visual models across grades, plenty of class discussion and fluency work. Students use printed books plus context videos and digital interactives on the Great Minds platform, and Pathways to Mastery adds assessments and catch-up practice.
Our take: A well-regarded core math curriculum your district picks; ask for parent guides if the methods look new.

What's good
- Coherent models that carry across grades
- Researchers outside the company measured some gains
- Strong focus on understanding, not just answers
Watch for
- Mixed results by grade
- Parents may find the methods unfamiliar at homework time
- Websites, not the student platform, use ad tracking
Data and privacy
The school supplies student accounts; the platform stores answers, errors, scores, timing and inferences about what a student knows, and optional audio recordings for fluency checks. Great Minds says it does not sell platform data; its public websites do use ad tracking. Read the privacy policy.
Does it work?
A University of Southern California study posted by Great Minds (Silver and Polikoff, 2024) found gains of 0.11 SD in grade 3 and 0.15 SD in grade 5 in North Carolina, no significant effect in grade 4 or pooled.
