Freckle

Desk research from the maker's own pages. Not yet tried by us. Checked 2026-10-24.
A school practice program from Renaissance for math (kindergarten through Algebra 2), English language arts, science and social studies. A short placement test, or a school's Star or FastBridge scores, sets each child's starting level. Students then work on teacher-assigned skills or an adaptive path, with hints, read-aloud audio for reading passages and coins and celebrations for progress. Teachers and district leaders see detailed reports.
Our take: A reasonable school pick for differentiated practice, especially in districts already using Star tests; families can't buy it directly.

Data and privacy
Renaissance says student data in its products is controlled by the school, governed by data protection agreements, and that it holds COPPA and FERPA certifications; it will not change or release student records unless the school authorizes it. We could not open its children's privacy notice, so AI training and ad statements are not confirmed. Read the privacy policy.
