Desk research from the maker's own pages. Not yet tried by us. Checked 2026-10-24.
One of the oldest kids' learning sites, with free games, online books and videos for pre-K to grade 8. Kids pick a grade and play classics like Math Baseball and Grammar Gorillas, or read full chapters of books such as Diary of a Wimpy Kid online. No account is needed. The site is supported by ads, shown in several slots on each page.
Our take: Fine for occasional free play and reading at home; schools and privacy-minded parents may prefer ad-free options.
Checked in a browser
A browser check on 2026-10-25: what loads, the ads and trackers we saw, and what a child meets first. Not a hands-on test.
| Child safety: 2 out of 5 | Six Google ad slots, each labeled 'Advertisement | Report Ad', run between the games; ads are served through Google's ad platform with Moat verification. |
|---|---|
| Data: 2 out of 5 | Google ad servers (googlesyndication, 2mdn), Moat ad measurement and Comscore (scorecardresearch) tracking loaded alongside Google Analytics. |
| Ease: 4 out of 5 | Large game cards with a grade band and a big PLAY button each; ads sit between the cards. |
| Cost honesty: 5 out of 5 | Free; no membership or upgrade shown. |
What we found
- 18 third-party hosts on 13 sites; 7 cookies, 1 set by an outside ad domain (intergient.com).
- 6 ad frames on the home page, including a mobile leaderboard and in-content slots.
- Known ad and tracking hosts: googlesyndication.com, moatads.com, scorecardresearch.com.
- Every game card shows a grade range (K-3, 3-8, 5-8) and a PLAY button.
From the test: Easy for a child to pick a game by grade, but the first visit loads Google ads and Comscore tracking between the games.

Data and privacy
Funbrain says it does not knowingly collect personal information from children and collects IP addresses for administration and reports to advertisers. Its policy (updated May 2018) says third-party ad servers may use information about visits to this and other sites to show ads 'of interest to you', and it uses Google Analytics. Read the privacy policy.
