Mathletics

Mathletics is an online math program for ages 5 to 16, used mostly by schools and also sold to families. Children work through curriculum-matched lessons, videos and questions set in colorful worlds, earning points, certificates and unlockable rewards. Live Mathletics is a 60-second mental-math race against children around the world. Parents and teachers get progress reports. The same company makes Reading Eggs and Mathseeds.

Our take: A solid pick for families wanting steady, school-style math practice; kids who need deep explanation or a tutor may want something more hands-on.

What's good

  • Wide grade range in one program
  • Clear progress reports for parents
  • Strong written promises on children's data and AI training

Watch for

  • Home subscriptions auto-renew and are not refunded mid-term
  • Price is hidden until checkout
  • Live races against strangers may stress some kids
  • Points and rewards can pull focus from the math itself

Data and privacy

3P Learning says it does not sell data, does not use children's data for behavioral ads, and does not share children's data for AI training without separate opt-in parental consent. It cites COPPA, FERPA and GDPR; for school accounts the school controls the data. Read the privacy policy.

Does it work?

The maker's own claims only: it says a study of 8,000 schools' test results found students using Mathletics 30 minutes a week scored 9% higher. We found no independent study.
