Osmo

Osmo turns an iPad or Fire tablet into a hands-on game: the tablet sits in a stand, a red mirror clips over the front camera, and the app watches the table. Children arrange letter tiles, number tiles, coding blocks or drawings on the table and the game reacts on screen. Kits cover early letters and shapes, math, spelling, drawing and coding. After its owner BYJU'S collapsed in 2024 the apps stopped working; former staff bought the brand in late 2025 and are bringing games back one by one.
Our take: Still a good hands-on option for ages 3-10 if you check device compatibility and accept the company's fragile history; buy from the official store and do not expect every old game.

- Needs a compatible iPad or Fire tablet
- Uses the tablet camera
Data and privacy
The site privacy policy says it does not knowingly collect information from children under 13 through the website and does not sell personal information; it says some apps collect limited child data for gameplay and learning, and parents can ask for deletion. Osmo says the reflector limits the camera to the play area. Read the privacy policy.
