Desk research from the maker's own pages. Not yet tried by us. Checked 2026-10-24.

A nonprofit site with thousands of free hands-on science and engineering project ideas from kindergarten through high school. A Topic Selection Wizard asks students about their interests and suggests projects; each project has background, materials, steps and help with the scientific method. Volunteers answer questions in an Ask an Expert forum. Teachers get lesson plans and tools to assign projects, including new AI-generated feedback guided by its rubrics. It also sells science kits.

Our take: The go-to free resource for science fair season for any grade; parents of under-13s should approve accounts promptly.
