Best of the web
Top 50 free learning sites for kids (2026)
These are the free websites and apps we would hand to a new parent: places where kids actually learn, not just tap. About a third use AI in some way, from reading tutors that listen to your child to tools that let kids train their own model. Free can still mean ads, upsells or data collection, so each pick notes the catch. Mix in one or two that match what your child loves, rather than trying all fifty. A good site has no ads aimed at kids, a clear learning goal, and no pressure to keep playing.
We picked sites that are free to use for real learning, checked that each one still loads and is maintained in October 2026, and noted ads, accounts and paid tiers. Prices and features change, so check each site before you sign up. Checked 2026-10-24. Nobody paid to be here and nothing is an affiliate link.
