Best of the web

33 best educational YouTube channels, by age

YouTube is where most kids already learn things, so it pays to steer them toward channels that are accurate, calm and kind. We sorted these by age: preschool (2-5), early grade school (6-9), tweens (10-13) and teens. For little kids, look for slow pacing and real teaching, not loud colors and toy unboxing. For older kids, look for channels that show their sources and explain how they know. Two picks for teens explain how AI and neural networks work, which is worth more than any number of hype videos.

We chose channels with a strong record of accurate, age-fit content and checked in October 2026 that each still has a working home. Where we could not reach YouTube directly, we link the channel's own site. Checked 2026-10-24. Nobody paid to be here and nothing is an affiliate link.
