Wayground is the new name for Quizizz, a quiz and lesson platform used by teachers in most US schools. Teachers build or borrow quizzes, slides, video lessons, flashcards and homework, and students join with a code to answer at their own pace or in a live game with points and a leaderboard. It also runs formal tests with a lockdown mode, read-aloud, translation and leveled text for students who need them.
Our take: Good for teachers who want quick checks and review games; parents mostly meet it through school rather than choose it.
