11 Minecraft and Roblox experiences that actually teach (plus Roblox safety)

Your child already wants to play Minecraft or Roblox, so it is worth knowing where the real learning is. Minecraft Education has hundreds of lesson worlds and is used in schools around the world. Roblox has a smaller set of serious learning experiences, plus Roblox Studio, where kids learn to code by making their own games. This list points to the good ones. Roblox also needs real care: strangers, scams, Robux spending and a wave of state lawsuits in 2025 and 2026. Read the warnings before you set it up.

We picked experiences built with educators, museums or real coding tools, and checked each official page in October 2026. Roblox safety rules changed in 2026 and may change again. Checked 2026-10-24. Nobody paid to be here and nothing is an affiliate link.
