Cambly Kids offers one-on-one live English lessons by video for children aged 4 to 15. Kids talk in real time with native English-speaking tutors, who read stories and prompts, ask questions and adjust to the child's interests. Courses are leveled by the CEFR scale from beginner up. Parents create a sub-account for each child, track progress and can watch recordings of lessons. Free games, quizzes and workbooks are available without a subscription.
Our take: Helpful for children learning English as a new language who need speaking practice; parents should sit in on early calls and read the recording terms.

Data and privacy
Lessons are video-recorded and messages with tutors are kept; parents can view them. The kids' policy says child data is not used for behavioral ads or sold. The general user agreement lets Cambly use recordings and data to train AI and share it with partners; the kids' policy does not say whether that applies to children. Read the privacy policy.
