Canva for Education (Magic Studio)

Desk research from the maker's own pages. Not yet tried by us. Checked 2026-10-24.

The free school version of the Canva design app. Teachers make lessons, whiteboards and games and assign projects; students make posters, slides, videos and websites from templates, and work connects to Google Classroom, Canvas and other school systems. Canva's AI tools (Magic Studio) are on for teachers by default; for students, image generation and a few other tools are on, and teachers or admins can turn on more, such as Magic Write.

Our take: A solid, free choice for school design projects when teachers set the AI controls; not for under-13s at home.
