A popular drawing app for phones, tablets and computers, loved by kids who draw anime and manga. It has thousands of brushes, layers, comic frames and rulers, and records a time-lapse of every drawing. Users can post art to the ibisPaint online gallery, where most of a post must be made in the app. The free version shows ads; a paid upgrade or membership removes them.
Our take: A fine pick for a manga-loving tween if a parent buys the one-time ad removal; otherwise the free version's ad tracking is a real cost.

| What its terms say about age | No minimum age stated. Minors must get a parent's or guardian's consent, including agreeing to the terms, before using the service. (terms) |
| Price | Free, with paid extras. Free with ads. Ad removal $15.99 one time; Premium Membership $4.49 a month or $27.99 a year; AI "Smart Credit" packs from $2.99 (US App Store, Oct 2026). |

| Account | No account needed |
| Ads | Yes |
| In-app purchases | Yes |
| The AI in it | AI tools upscale images, and an "AI Disturbance" option adds noise meant to make art harder for AI to copy; the maker says it will not train AI on users' art without consent. |
What's good
- Strong drawing tools for free
- Promises not to train AI on users' art
- Works on almost any device
Watch for
- Many ad networks track kids in the free version
- Public online gallery
- Many paid options: membership, ad removal, AI credits
- No child privacy section
Data and privacy
The free version sends ad IDs, IP address and usage history to many ad networks (AdMob, AppLovin, Pangle, Unity Ads and others); the ad-free version does not. The policy says nothing about children, and says art sent to AI services is not used to train AI. Read the privacy policy.
