Kiddle

By Kiddle (not affiliated with Google). Visit Kiddle

Desk research from the maker's own pages. Not yet tried by us. Checked 2026-10-24.

A kids' search engine with large thumbnails and big type. Results come in layers: the first few are sites written for kids and checked by Kiddle editors, then simpler trusted sites, then adult sites filtered by Google SafeSearch. It has web, image and fact search plus a daily trivia question. There are no accounts. It is still online in October 2026.

Our take: A handy free search page for young kids at home or school; set it as the homepage alongside other filters, not instead of them.

Checked in a browser

A browser check on 2026-10-25: what loads, the ads and trackers we saw, and what a child meets first. Not a hands-on test.

Child safety: 5 out of 5No ads, no chat and no links out on the home page; search results were not tested (the desk record says ads appear there).
Data: 5 out of 5No third-party hosts were contacted and no cookies were set on the home page.
Ease: 5 out of 5One big search box and a friendly robot, with Web, Facts and Images tabs.
Cost honesty: 5 out of 5Free; no price shown.

What we found

  • 0 third-party hosts and 0 cookies on the home page.
  • 0 ad frames.
  • The check did not type a search, so results pages (where ads may run) were not seen.

From the test: The home page is clean, with no ads or trackers; this check did not test what search results show.
