A browser photo editor and design tool, a lighter, cheaper stand-in for Photoshop. Users crop and fix photos, remove backgrounds, make collages and use templates, and paid plans add AI image, video and audio generation. Schools can apply for a free ad-free education upgrade for students and staff on the school email domain. Its terms are 16+ unless a parent or teacher supervises.
Our take: Useful for high schoolers editing photos in class through the free school plan; younger kids need an adult beside them by its own rules.
| Ages it suits | 16+, or younger with an adult supervising |
|---|---|
| What its terms say about age | 16 or older. Under-16s may use it only under direct supervision of a parent, guardian, or authorized adult such as a teacher; in Pixlr for Education, teachers may consent for students under 16. (terms) |

Data and privacy
Collects browsing data, location, and account details; child accounts in education collect name, school, education level and email, with teachers consenting for parents. It claims COPPA compliance and says facial data from AI tools is used only for that task; it does not say whether it trains AI on uploaded images. Read the privacy policy.
