Number line and skip-counting games for kids
Peabody has 5 free games that ask number sense, including Peabody Rush, Astro Rescue and Last Word. Number sense is 6 skills, from skip counting to place value, each at three levels. Every answer is three boxes to tap. Free through the end of 2026, no sign-up.
| Game | Asks | From | What it is |
|---|---|---|---|
| Peabody Rush | number sense | 1st | Roll fast and pick the right number gate. |
| Astro Rescue | number sense | K | Jump through space and free the lost bots. |
| Last Word | number sense | Pre-K | Give the zombies their words back. Survive the night. |
| Number Line Run | number sense | K | Jump onto the number line. Where you land is the answer! |
| Number Trails | number sense | K | Sail a map of numbers. Pick +10, ×2 or −1 to reach the treasure in the fewest moves! |
The arcade also has two action games with cartoon violence, Sniper and Doomcrawl. We leave them off these lists on purpose; every game is on the games page. A game's "From" grade is where it is made to start; its questions follow the grade a child says they are in.
Which grades work on number sense
The practice brain works on number sense for 1st grade, 2nd grade, 3rd grade and 4th grade. It starts a child on the rung their grade puts them on, then moves up when answers are solid, so a child ahead of their grade is not held back.
What is in it
| Skill | Levels | What a child does |
|---|---|---|
| Skip counting by 10, 5 and 2 | 3 | Say what comes next when counting by the same step. |
| Comparing | 3 | Pick the bigger or smaller of two numbers. |
| The number line to 100 | 3 | Place a number on the line. |
| Place value | 3 | Say what a digit is worth. |
Number Line Run is built around this skill: where a child lands on the line is the answer.
The lesson parts that cover it
Beside the games, the math paths have short lessons on this skill. Every part is open, and ten right answers finish one.
| Grade | Parts | Some of them |
|---|---|---|
| 1st grade | 1 | Count by 2s, 5s, 10s |
| 2nd grade | 6 | Tens and ones, Hundreds, tens and ones and Skip counting |
| 3rd grade | 3 | Rounding to the nearest ten, Rounding to the nearest hundred and Fractions on a number line |
| 4th grade | 3 | Big numbers, Rounding big numbers and Comparing big numbers |

Questions parents ask
Do these games need typing?
No. Every answer is one of three big boxes, so a child who cannot type or read well yet can play, and a wrong answer costs a little time, never a life.
Do they ask the same questions every time?
No. Questions come from the same practice brain behind the lessons, which brings number sense back on a schedule and does not ask again what was answered right.
Is it free?
Yes, free through the end of 2026, with no sign-up. The games teach and review; Peabody is not a full curriculum and gives no test or score against other children.
