CENTURY is a UK learning platform that uses AI to give each pupil a personal path through short lessons in English, maths and science, with secondary subjects and GCSE prep for older students. Children watch short videos, answer self-marking questions, and the system recommends what to study next. Schools use it for homework and catch-up; parents can subscribe for home learning, home education or 11+ entrance exam prep using Bond and ISEB materials.

Our take: A sensible home or school add-on for UK families; families outside the UK curriculum will find less fit.

What's good

  • Personal learning path across core subjects
  • Clear promise not to train AI on personal data
  • Low monthly cost on an annual plan

Watch for

  • Built for the English national curriculum
  • Evidence is correlational
  • Some generative AI features depend on the school's settings

Data and privacy

The privacy notice says it does not use personal data to train its AI, and models are trained on anonymised data. For school users the school is the data controller. Read the privacy policy.

Does it work?

The maker's own analyses with partner schools, which link more use with better test results; these are correlations, not trials. We found no independent controlled study.
