Preply

Desk research from the maker's own pages. Not yet tried by us. Checked 2026-10-24.

A marketplace for one-on-one online language lessons with independent tutors, including a section for kids learning English and other languages. Families browse tutor profiles, intro videos, prices and reviews, book a 25- or 50-minute trial lesson, then pay by subscription. Lessons happen in Preply's video classroom. Afterward parents get tutor feedback and AI 'Lesson Insights' on strengths and next steps, and students can do short daily exercises.

Our take: Workable for teens with a parent on the account; for younger children, the terms do not allow it, so pick a service built for kids.
