A setup mode that turns an LTE Galaxy Watch (Watch6, Watch7 or Watch8) into a child's own connected watch, managed from a parent's Samsung phone through Google Family Link. Kids call and text a parent-approved contact list, track activities through Samsung Health, and download parent-approved kids' apps and watch faces from Google Play. Parents see last location, get arrive and leave alerts, and set a school-time Do Not Disturb schedule.
Our take: Makes sense for Samsung families with a spare LTE Galaxy Watch; others will find cheaper kids' watches.
