Nintendo's 2025 handheld-and-TV console and its online membership. Kids play family games such as Mario Kart World, Animal Crossing and Mario Party, alone or side by side. Switch Online adds online play, a library of classic games and GameChat, the voice and video chat on Switch 2. Parents manage time, ratings, spending and chat through the free Parental Controls app, which has its own entry in this directory.
Our take: A strong family console for younger kids; set up the Parental Controls app before handing it over.
